Autograph letter signed, dated : [n.p., Berlin?], 22 July 1845, to an unidentified professor, 1845 July 22.

Responding to his letter in which he sought Meyerbeer's intercession with the king to briefly extend Mlle Tuczeck's [i.e. Tuczek's] vacation so that she can sing at the Beethoven celebration concerts, saying that the permission has been granted and that Tuczek may sing at the concerts on 11 and 12 August and return to Berlin on the 17th, adding that he will tell Tuczek's brother the news himself the next day.

By 1831, Spontini's reputation has lost ground to the works of younger men, including Meyerbeer, whose Robert le Diable was first performed eight month after the date of this letter; this is perhaps the opera mentioned here, though Meyerbeer may be referring to the abortive Le Portefaix, the contract for which he had just signed.
